Last month, I inhaled again Kadampa Buddhism. Real Kadampa Buddhism.
These books are invaluable.
The Complete Works of Atisa (Atisa, or Atisha (980-1040), was the founder of Kadampa Buddhism).
The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment (3 volumes) by Tsongkhapa (1357-1419, the founder to New Kadampa Buddhism) (from the Forward: "It is the very vision of Shakyamuni Buddha and his enlightened followers."; from the Introduction: "(it is) one of the world's great monuments of philosophy and spirituality as well as one of the most renowned works of Buddhist thought and practice to have been composed in Tibet.")
Final Exposition of Wisdom by Tsongkhapa (from the Forward: "During his lifetime Tsongkhapa was regarded as a remarkable spiritual figure whose genius and saintliness held him above the sectarian differences at the time...(he) studied widely with the representatives of all the major orders of Tibet and assimilated their lineages.")
Beyond these books, all one needs is to practice them.
Nowhere in these books or the practice of Kadampa/New Kadampa Buddhism can be found any justification for Kelsang Gyatso's political life quest or his NKT business created in 1991 and marketed facetiously as the New Kadampa Tradition - a faint and contradictory mirage of Kadampa and New Kadampa Buddhism. Whereas Atisha and Tsongkhapa reduced political influence on spirituality, Kelsang Gyatso injects vile hateful politics into his progeny. Nowhere can be found any justification for Shugdenism or its sectarian purpose. Nowhere can be found any mention of Shugden. No wonder Kelsang Gyatso bans these profound books inside NKT.
Please visit the profound source teachings of Kadampa Buddhism. Please practice its teachings. Beware of Kelsang Gyatso's antagonistic inventions.
Life is too precious to waste. Every moment counts.
