NKT, a unique 'religion' only superficially related to Buddhism, sponsors an array of web sites to promote its problematic 'faith'. Some of NKT's web sites are pious, painting a picture of humble quiet clergy and students led by a frail and forgetful ex Tibetan monk who abandoned his Tibetan roots to begin a westernized religious business unaffiliated with any known religion (although usually mistaken for a form of Tibetan Buddhism even though when asked NKT denies any relationship with Tibetan or any other form of Buddhism).
Some of NKT's web sites are marketing vehicles for NKT's spas, hotels, restaurants and business services to traditional lay corporations - assets considered charities by NKT to further its greed at the expense of Buddhism.
NKT also sponsors many notorious web sites, angrily promoting NKT's inner self - spiteful, assaulting, finger pointing, name calling, threatening and immersed in rewriting history and facts pertaining to Indo-Tibetan Buddhism. NKT's clergy and students are often shown in a fighting mode wherein they protest against the Dalai Lama around the world for his historical spiritual and political leadership of the Tibetan people.
Also, NKT clergy and students boastfully exercise a prolific presence in Internet blogs, wherein NKTites are quick to post vitriolic allegations with foul language, threats of lawsuits and praise for the communist Chinese cultural genocide in Tibet. No matter what the topic of the blog, NKTites are there disparaging the Dalai Lama and NKT clergy and students who found the courage to leave NKT's cultish grasp.
In many of NKT's latter category of web sites, NKT's chief deity, Shugden, is portrayed as a wisdom buddha protecting the Tibetan tradition of Tsongkhapa and the Dalai Lama is portrayed as the sole enemy of this tradition.
NKT's so called tradition began when Kelsang Gyatso created his one of a kind purported religion based upon a proprietary 'lineage' wherein Kelsang Gyatso is the only living lineage holder of Shugden's sparse family tree. [NKT's founder is 'Geshe' Kelsang Gyatso (however, the Geshe title is a misnomer because Kelsang Gyatso never received such a monastic degree and was dismissed from the monastic college at which Kelsang Gyatso did training for this degree).]
Oddly, Gyatso begins his Shugden lineage with Buddha Shakyamuni, who lived about 2,500 years ago and never spoke of Gyatso's spirit god, Shugden (which entered the world a only a few hundred years ago as an angry spirit invoked to harm people and property and promoted to a Buddha relatively recently, within the last 100 years). Moving forward, Shakyamuni was succeeded by Manjushri, (a student of Shakyamuni who was a Buddha before Shakyamuni), who was succeeded by Tsongkhapa (who also never spoke of Shugden), who was succeeded by Shugden (though Shugden never lived on this earth), who was succeeded by Pabongkha, who was succeeded by Trijang, who was succeeded by Kelsang Gyatso, the only living Shugden lineage holder in Kelsang Gyatso's novel scheme.
Protests against the Dalai Lama did not begin until Kelsang Gyatso began his Shugden religion in England. While the immediately preceeding Dalai Lama, the 13th, opposed Shugdenism, Pabonkgha and Trijang did not protest against the Dalai Lama but rather generally supported the current Dalai Lama.
NKT has announced that Gyatso will retire this coming August. It is not yet known who will succeed Gyatso for his Shugden lineage.
Wonder what the world will do without a Shugen lineage holder. Hopefully, NKT will sponsor fewer protests and attacking web sites and blog posts.
In 1991, Gyatso published a book dedicated to Shugden entitled Heart Jewel. In the book, Gyatso invented a human form of Shugden named Biwawa, who, according to Gyatso fantasy, lived in India long before the time of Tsongkhapa, who apparently never heard of Shugden even though Gyatso claims that Tsongkhapa is a reincarnation of Shugden.
When the King at the time attempted many times to kill him, Biwawa invoked miracles to defend himself from the King's futile gestures. In another fanciful adventure, when asked to pay his bar bill, Biwawa claimed he had no money. Becoming angry, the barmaid gave him until sunset to pay. "Biwawa promptly used his miracle powers to stop the sun moving and held it motionless for three whole days." The King promised Biwawa he would neither have to pay for his drinks nor go to jail.
How such a 'miracle' would not inflict monumental havoc around the world and kill billions of living beings from the catastrophic suspension of earth's rotation - which would cause massive environmental destruction - Gyatso chose not to explain (e.g., areas of the world would reach hundreds of degrees, other areas would quickly freeze, hundreds of millions of acres of fires would ensue, immense pollution would result, the earth would be subject to focused areas of radiation from the sun causing substantial biological mutations...and a whole lot more; such an event would have left behind easily identifiable and stunning archeological alterations, representing the most notable historical record here on earth.
Ridiculously, Gyatso and his followers praise this deadbeat as a Buddha and travel around the world to protect their devious mascot by targeting the Dalai Lama for protests and sponsor significant amounts of caustic Internet chatter - the basis of NKT's religion.
Outside Tibetan Buddhism, Shugden has no religious meaning or purpose. Within Tibetan Buddhism, Shugden is mostly seen as an anger spirit requiring appeasement to avoid his danger.
Only in a small fundamentalist group has Shugden been elevated sacrilegiously to a Buddha and only in NKT is this cancerous theology exported to the West to rationalize and animate Gyatso's life long jealousy and feud with the Dalai Lama - in militant symbiosis with the communist Chinese government to undermine the Dalai Lama's leadership of the Tibetan people.
Gyatso and his followers should be ashamed. Eventually, they will be.

A video of this (and several others) NKT protest can be viewed here.
The array of caustic NKT web sites, blog posts and Internet video uploads appear inconsistent with Gyatso's command,
"Some small group in our NKT society engage in meaningless activity on the internet, not only Sangha, some lay. This is incorrect. We are Kadampa practitioners, Kadampa Teachers. Why are we enjoying meaningless activity, discussion? We can have a meaningful discussion with pure practitioners or senior practitioners, Teachers. There is no meaning in talking about silly things publicly on the internet. Instead, make meaningful discussion with our pure practitioners, senior Teachers. Please give my message to the individuals of this group. Stop this kind of actions. Gen-la Khyenrab, give my message in email or writing. Stop meaningless discussion on the internet. If you wish, do meaningful discussion with senior Teachers or pure practitioners, or meaningful discussion with your Teacher. No meaning engaging in silly question and answers on the internet. Please Gen-la Khyenrab, pass my message. I am telling you for your purpose and our society's purpose. In this way, keep individuals and society pure and show very good example."
Notable, Gyatso said that in order to keep individuals and society pure, NKTites should stay away from the Internet. NKT's response - about a dozen new assaulting web sites and tens of thousands of vitriolic blog posts.
In 2002, Gyatso said, "I can guarantee that the NKT and myself have never performed inappropriate actions and will never do so in the future, this is our determination," and that he and NKT had "completely stopped being involved in the Shugden issue at any level" since 1998. In April 2008, Gyatso wrote, "I personally will organize demonstrations against The Dalai Lama directly"? Characteristically, NKT denies any involvement with the protests against the Dalai Lama even though they have led numerous protests against the Dalai Lama after Gyatso claimed NKT had stopped all involvement with the Shugden issue.
Truth telling and compassion are not NKT traits.
